Show Progress Made On City Street Repair Work On City Projects To Continue Until Cold Weather Preston's street improvement program was going rapidly ahead this week as workmen applied the finishing touches on two more blocks of sidewalk and curbing work. The present program is slated to continue until freezing weather halts the concrete laying crews, according to City Manager C- I. Goff. Curbings and new sidewalks have been laid on both sides of First South, crews winding up the work the middle of this week. At the present time, a crew is busy rebuilding the side of Main street in front of the Utah Oil station, and n renewing the sidewalk in front of the First ward church. Next street to be repaired will be the block between Oneida and First South on First West street. Work will (continue there and in other parts of the city until cold weather calls a halt. Installation of approximately 5,000 feet of water mains to replace re-place some of the present lines was also begun this week. Crews at the city sewage disposal dis-posal plant have started pouring concrete and it is expected tht some of the steel work will start late this week.
