Show Franklin County Officers Sworn In Monday; Appointments Are Made RAWLINGS CHAIRMAN OF COUNTY BOARD Other Appointments Await Next Meeting of Board Franklin county officials took over the reigns of government here on Monday morning with tuo first two days session taken up wttn appointments. Cleo Swenson administered the oath of office to elective officials Monday and to appointive ap-pointive offices on Monday afternoon and Tuesday. Sworn . in were Commissioners Henry Rawlings and Frank. Shrives, Sheriff Lee Hansen, County . Attorney Ben Johnson, Assessor Fred Hawkes, Treasurer Emma Callan, Probate Judge J. P. Rasmussen, County Superintendent Super-intendent Welland Smith, Surveyor Sur-veyor Nielson, Cornor Moses . Hanqey, Milo Wheeler, Justice of ithe Peace, and Louis A. Bar-rington, Bar-rington, Constable. In the re-organization of the county board of commissioners, Henry Rawlings was elected chairman chair-man of the board. The board approved ap-proved an appropriation of $7,700 for January expenditures pending the setting of -the budget in the February meeting. In appointments made so far the new members in the county offices are Marlowe Funk who was sworn in as deputy sheriff, Mae Geddes, deputy treasurer, Mrs. Catherine Whitney, clerk in the as'sor's office, and Dr. G. Several other appointments are pending the next session of the board. The commissioners went to Boise Wednesday and Thursday for their annual meeting. o o |
