IDAHO CIVIC CLUB MEETS THURSDAY Associated Civic Clubs of Eastern East-ern Idaho held a meeting to complete com-plete committee oganizations Thursday Thu-rsday at 7 p. m. at Downey CCC headquarters. Youngren of Pocatello, Chairman of Lava Hot Springs foundation board, that the association support the proposal .that the tuberculosis sanatorium tc be considered in the state, legislature legisla-ture be established at Lava Hot Springs. Mr. Johnson, president, referred the request to the association legislative legis-lative committee, headed by M. L. Horsley of Soda Springs, Caribou countyj representative. Other members of the legislative legisla-tive committee are Senators George Pugmire of Pocatelloj and Thomas Heath of Preston, Representative Arthur B. Peck of Lava Ho! Springs and Senator Ed C.lRich ol Montpelier. "If the committee recommends our support to the proposal wt shall back it," declared Mr. John son. He pointed out that'thei assc 'Ciation is founded on the theory o "supporting any worthwhile community com-munity or district effort for the development of the state or the area they would directly benefit." L. W. Nye of the Lava Hot Springs Lions club and active in the association also urged that the civic clubs group back Mr. Youn-gren's Youn-gren's proposal, contending that Lava Plot Springs' facilities now referred to Lava hospital, now available would "adequately serve as a temporary sanatorium" |
