Show Logan were town visitors on Sun-jday. Sun-jday. Mr. and Mrs. Louis Miller and children of Hyrum were visiting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. John E. Lee, Sunday. Miss Zelpha Nielsen of Los Angeles An-geles and Miss Terese Neilsen of Salt Lake City, spent the week end at the home of their parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Nielsen. Niel-sen. Mrs. J. W. Perkes is reported to 'be slowly improving from ill health which has kept her confined to her bed for the past two weeks. Miss Lorna. Miss Daphna Duce 'and Miss Geneva Seamons poured land Miss Lorraine Harris and Miss Hazel Kirby assisted with the .serving. There were 185 guests 'called during the tea hours. I The Thrifty Ten 4-H Sewing club held their final meeting of the season at the horn eof Mrs. ipaye Waite, Friday afternoon. 'The time was spent sewing and luncheon was served to ten girs land two leaders. There are about 50 students from here who registered at the .North Cache high school, Tuesday. Tues-day. i The Seamons family held their ! annual reunion at Guinavah Park; fin Logan canyon, Labor Day. The, ! gathering of the family and re-' inewal of acquaintenees filled the I morning hours. High score prize for the bridge games was won by Valene Fuhriman, Myrtle Balls won the all cut prize. The guests of honor were each presented with a gift. . Mrs. Frank E. Lamb returned to her home from a local hospital on Wednesday. Mrs. Maxine Jensen entertained at a children's lawn party Sunday afternoon in honor of the fourth birthday of her daughter, Marilyn Out door games were enjoyed and luncheon was served to 20 little guests. The MIA held their monthly conjoint program Sunday evening in the ward chapel. The entire program was furnished by the Smithfield Third ward and consisted con-sisted of: Scriptural reading, Lois Sorensen; mixed chorus, under the direction of Willard Thornley; retold re-told story, LuDella Jensen; ac-cordian ac-cordian solo, Terry Hansen; speaker, speak-er, Don Chamber, a recently re-j re-j turned missionary from the north-l north-l western states mission; vocal so-I so-I lo, Gem McCann. I Miss Delva Yost of Bancroft, j Idaho, was a house guest for a few days last week at the home I of Mr. and Mrs. C. A. Hurren. Miss Yost just recently returned from the Central States mission where she has been laboring with Mr. and Mrs. Hurren's son, Sidney. Sid-ney. Joan Waite, daughter of M-and M-and Mrs. Owen Waite, and Rozel Hyde, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. The Relief Society held their opening meeting Tuesday afternoon after-noon in the ward chapel with Pres. Hattie R. Lee in charge. The teachers topic was given by Mrs. Ethel Balls. The Theology lesson was conducted, by Mrs. Mae Lee and the rest of the time was given to testimony bearing.
