Show on Sunday. Miss Olive Tuddenham u spending her vacation with a sister, Mrs. Wayne T. McKinnon at Evaruton. Mr. and Mrc Alfonso Christen sen and daughter Cleo attended the peach day celebration at Brigham City where Cleo played in the Logan band. From there they drove to Ogden where they were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Clif-ford Peterson. Mrs. Peterson was formerly Miss Artell Christensen I of this place. Mr. and Mrs. Royden Benson I entertained with a dinner Tuesday Tues-day for Mr. and Mrs. Owen Curtis Cur-tis of Victor, Idaho, Mr. and Mrs. Tom Griffin, Mrs. Martha Jenkins, Jen-kins, Mildred Sutherland and Norma Christensen. Mrs. Einar Peterson entertained with a lawn party Wednesday afternoon af-ternoon in honor of her daughter Marie's birthday anniversary. Mrs. Norma Alvis assisted - with the games and serving. Twenty were present. Mrs. Alice Christensen spent Sunday at Morgan and Lake Como in Weber canyon and also drove up to hte Devil's Slide and cement ce-ment plant. I Director Wm. Peterson, assistant director, W. W. Owens, R. L. Wrigley, county agent, John Welch Mr. Allred and Eric Hendricks, and Alfonzo Christensen of the extension division cooperating with AAA, met with the farmers of the west side in the Newton ward, Friday evening and explained the wheat allotment program for 1938 1939. Mr. Owen explained the wheat situation in the world and in the U. S. Director Wm. Peterson Peter-son gave a summary and told of the benefits to be derived in complying com-plying with their program where it is possible to come in. There were 80 present. I NEWTON 1 NEWTON Miss Cleo Christensen Christen-sen was hostess to her New Testament, Tes-tament, Sunday school class on Tuesday from 5 to 7:30 p. m. It was a character party held on the lawn. The 'entrance was through a garden gate over which was the ensign "Sunday School Class. Welcome". Prizes for the best dressed were awarded to Keith Jenkins, Murray Rigby, Edward Peterson and Delphia Sanders The group was divided in to 3 sections, representing North Cache Logan and South Cache. A treasure treas-ure hunt and track meet were among the games played. Prizes were won by Merin Sanders, Zel-pha Zel-pha Marker, Calvin Gult and Murray Rigby. Miss Arleen Griffin Grif-fin assisted with the games. 31 guests. Elizabeth Ann Sutherland Suther-land and Coben Benson assisted in serving. Andrew Peterson suffered a paralytic stroke recently and is in quite a serious condition. Mr. and Mrs. W. R. Glade and tons Jan'ss A. and Melvin and 'daughter Kuth also Miss Coon of Salt Lake City were; guests' of Mr. and Mrs. Jf. R. Tuddenham |
