Friday of last week the first school assembly for the year 1932-33 was held at the Gunnison Valley high school, with the following program: Invocation, Miss Ruby Nielson; solo, Miss Norma Bown; reading, Miss LuDcen Jensen; fancy dance, Miss Phyllis Jensen; solo, Miss Mazzie Myrup; reading, Miss Dorris Barlow; saxaphone solo, Niel Buchanan, with the school song by student-body as ihe closing number. Student-body officers of-ficers in charge of the assembly were Allen Tuft, president; Farlane Nielson, Niel-son, vice-president; Miss Ada Peterson, Pe-terson, secretary - treasurer. Other ! mer.-.bers of the student - body are McEwan Voorhees, yellmaster; Claine Munk, athletic manager, and Miss Ilcan Hansen, reporter. Clara Officers Elected. Contests for officers for the various var-ious classes of the Gunnison Valley high school were warmly battled at t-ie school Tuesday afternoon and the election returns gave the following follow-ing results: Freshmen Mary Kim-ura, Kim-ura, president; Jean Larson, vice-president; vice-president; Beth Bardsley, secretary, r.nd Molin Peterson, reporter. Seniors Woodrow Mortensen, president; Mazie Tooth, vice-president; Keith Sorenson, secretary, and Malissa Newton, reporter. Miss Ilean Hansen is chief school reporter, with Miss Phyllis Jensen as assistant. Enrollment Increases. Since the opening of school a week ago ten new pupils have registered, bringing the total now at high school to 200.
