Show SCHOOLS MATCHED. Friday afternoon at the Gunnison ball park, a crack nine from the North Sevier high school will have it out with an equally as good a team from the Gunnison Valley high school. Both schools have some real "Ruth" aspirants and the game promises to furnish rare sport. Both teams will comprise, largely, those who played in the Gunnison and Salina Junior clubs. Some of the young chaps who will be seen in Friday's bout played a double-header at the Gunnison diamond dia-mond last Saturday. Salina's juniors took the Gunnison juniors for both games. The first, a nine inning clash, resulted in a victory for the visitors by a score of 14 to 12. The second game, cut to seven innings on account of darkness, ended with the score in favor of Salina, 7 to 6. Both games were) close and proved real thrillers. |
