And during the last several years the great newspapers of the United Kingdom have presented more of a family market mar-ket place in their pages than formerly. In the eighties, Marshall Field and I thought that when we appropriated seven-eighths of 1 per cent of our receipts re-ceipts for advertising it was quite liberal. lib-eral.
