Show z Reckless Driver 1 Cracks Ford Coupe Mr. and Mrs. Sverre Olauson of Salt Lake, who were the house guests of Mr. and Mrs. Howard Childs, and who with Mr. and Mrs. Childs were enroute to Fillmore Monday, were in an automobile crash near Scipio Monday Mon-day afternoon at about 2 o'clock. The Olauson coupe, in which the four 1 were riding, was crashed by a truck, driven, it is alleged, by an intoxicated man, and sent down a bank, turning over several times. Mrs. Childs suffered suf-fered a fractured knee cap, while the others were more or less bruised and scratched, but not seriously. Seeing the impending danger, the driver of the Ford stopped, being unable un-able to get by on the narrow road. It was while the Olauson Ford was at I a standstill that the truck hit it. With the coupe out of condition, it was necessary for the Gunnison group to take charge of the truck. Mr. Childs drove the truck to Salina. where charges were placed against the two men, supposedly intoxicated. The names of the two men were not known, but both were locked in the Salina city jail, awaiting further investigation. |
