Show Gunnison Lions Visit 'Baby' Club The Manti Lions club, the "baby" club of the 28th district, got off to a splendid start Thursday evening of last week, when the first regular meeting was held. The "baby" club was assisted in the deliberations by eleven members from the Gunnison Lions club, and the local boys report the event one that will long be remembered re-membered by the Manti organization. Attending from here were A. M. Peterson, Pe-terson, Ira Overfelt, D. E. Borg, Geo. Last, C. E. Andersen, Chas. Rasmus-sen, Rasmus-sen, N. L. Hermansen, Marlin Sorenson, Soren-son, B. S. Eggertsen, H. C. Olscn and Russell Anderson. A splendid program, a luncheon and a brief and interesting program had been prepared by the Manti club for the visitors, and throughout tho event was a round of pleasure and good fellowship. Manti, long anxious to become a member of the International Lions club, completed its organization only recently. The Manti Civic club took the initiative to affiliate with the Lions and started with thirty-three charter members. The membership, though, will be augumented by at least fifteen more, as that number has signified their intention of climbing climb-ing on the "wagon" and becoming members of one of the greatest civic organizations in the nation. |
