Show Prominent Coupk Married at Manti Following the marriage of .'.ivi Ada Peterson and L. II. Johnson, at the Manti temple early last Friday morning, an elaborate wedding reception re-ception was tendered the newlywods it the home of the bride's father, Chas. P. Peterson. The reception Droved the real social feature of Inst week and was attended by some seventy-five relatives and intimate friends of the bride and groom. Miss Imelda Peterson, a younger sister of the bride, was hostess at the event, and was assisted by Mrs. J. S. Peterson, Peter-son, Mrs. Martin Peterson, and Mrs. Joseph Christensen. The wedding dinner started at eight and following follow-ing this plcsf-'ncr fnture progressive "500" and rook, and musical selections selec-tions were the en.iovablc diversions. Mrs.. Johnson, the bride, is thn -laughter of Chns. P. Peterson. She ;s a native of Gunnison and has been nctive in church and social work. She attended the grade schools here, ''tev entering the high school, from which she graduated with hono-.;. During the past two years she nerved nerv-ed as office manager for the Telluride Tell-uride Power company and won front admiration for her efficiency. Mr. Johnson, local manager for the Toll-uride Toll-uride Power company, has been a resident of Gunnison for the past three or four years. He is a member mem-ber of the Gunnison Lions club and " is active in business and church circles. cir-cles. Mr. and Mrs. Johnson left Sunday ' morning for a honeymoon trip. San - Francisco, Los Angeles, San Diego ! and bea.ch resorts . will be visited. They expect to return to Gunnison : about July 15, after which they will be at home to their friends. They will make their permanent home here. |
