Whatever tends to direct the legitimate activities of the people in arbitrary manner meets with resistance. Within tjie limits of morality and in the bounds of reason, it is the thing a man wants to do, plus the untrammclod right to do it, that determines whether or not he 13 enjoying his natural freedom. And while the exorcise of choice is a dear privilege, the method of action may be criticized. There are comparatively few people peo-ple who are able either financially or in point of time to make a great many interests their principal objects . of devotion. But nearly every citizen can have at least one major purpose' for the advancement of the community commun-ity welfare. Some can give money, others can devote time and others can give counsel and advice. All can Care. . . Every citizen should find his or her ;placo in the best of help and then strive to fill it. If the place is in the home, or t,ho church, the club, the lodge, the public sei-viee, the forest, the. mine, the farm, the shop, it, should be found. j Service in fact as well as in name is what distinguishes men and women ...in all levels of society.
