Show Bicknell Cagers lose to Gunnison Gunnison Valley's high school basket bas-ket ball players, facing the bunch of "big fellow's" from Bicknell, waxed warm in. the last tiwo periods of the game played on the high school floor in Gunnison Friday night of last week and snapped the game from the visitors with a score of 31-20. The first half of the game was nip-and-tuck and at) the end of the half, the score stood 14 to 13, with Gunnison at the long end. This, the locals figured, fig-ured, was too close a margin for safety, and starting the second half matters were changed. Gunnison clipped clip-ped ahead with frequent baskets and had their visitors "wondering" at the fast play made by all the local cagers. cag-ers. Unable to overcome the on slaught, Bicknell got "faint" hearted; and the game went to Gunnison by. a safe margin. Gunnison's center, Nielson, played j a bang-up game and scored fifteen ! points for his mates, Larson and , Bauer, left and right forwards, rCs-J pectively, scored eight and six points, and Villard scored two. Blackburn, right forward for the visitors, was high man, ending with 8 points. By winning over Bicknell, Gunnison stepped step-ped into third place in the league standing. Friday's game was the last of the schedule to be played in Gunnison. Tomorrow night the Gunnison lads will go to Saliha for a battle with the North Sevier boys.
