Show Utah To Have- Place At Olympic Gsmes Los Angeles is fast making ready to welcome visitors to the Tenth Olympic games. Each one of the 48 states of the nation has been assigned assign-ed a booth at the Hotel Biltmore, located lo-cated at Olive and 5th streets. Beginning Begin-ning July 28 and continuing throughout through-out the Olympiad, the Utah booth will be open daily from 8 a. m. until S p. m. Two former Utah women will be in charge each day to greet the visitors from their state and to give any information which may be desired desir-ed in regard to the Olympic events transportation, points of . interest about the city, and desirable places to stay. At this booth, Utah visitors will be given cards of admission to the Utah garden of the L. D. S. Wilshire church Thursday, August 4th, and also tickets to the Iluntingtong Library Lib-rary and Art gallery. About 50 Utah women are engaged in planning and arranging for the Utah reception, which promises to be the most beautiful social affair ever given by the Utah colony in Los Angeles. An-geles. Mrs. Walter J. Poulton is in charge and the follov;ing well known Utah women are chairman of the subcommittees: sub-committees: Mrs. F. H. Knickerbocker, Knickerbock-er, decorations; Mrs. E. S. Budge, refreshments; re-freshments; Mrs. L. K. Sirns, entertainment; enter-tainment; Mrs. T. W. Naylor, publicity; pub-licity; Mrs. Clesson S. Kinney, reception; re-ception; Mrs. Morral N. Farr, tickets. Special invitations have been issued to Governor and Mrs. George H. Dern, Senator and Mrs. Reed Snioot, Senator Sena-tor and Mrs. Wm. H. King, Congressman Congress-man Frederick C. Loofbourow, who are expected to bs in Los Angeles during the Olympic games. Utah has a large group of movie stars, many of whom have agreed to assist in making the Utah reception an outstanding out-standing event. |
