Show ' LOCAL ITEMS OF INTEREST Boyd Nielson left for a six weeks sojourn at Salt Lake Monday afternoon after-noon of this week. Boyd will be a guest of his sister, Mrs. Edna Hansen. Miss Violet Bardsley, prominent in educational circles at Salt Lake, is here and is spending the summer with her mother and sister, Mrs. Martha Bardsley and Miss Linda Bardsley. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Newberger, who spent several days at the home of Mr. and Mrs. I. L. Henrie, returned to their home at Logan Tuesday. Reubc-n Christensen, accompanied by his son, Howard, spent Sunday visiting vis-iting with friends in Provo. They returned re-turned early Monday morning. Mr. and Mrs. Julius Duggins, Mr. and Mrs. Waldo Villard, Miss June Duggins and Master Jay Duggins, attended at-tended an anniversary dinner party at Provo Monday evening. The affair was given complimentary to Joseph S. Park, father of Mrs. Duggins, on his 80th birthday. H. B. Mendenhall of Richfield, spent several days here this week. He was in charge of the Penney store during the absence of Manager F. H. Jones, who was absent on account of the death of his father, J. T. Jones. Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Modeen, Julia and Lucile Modeen and the Misses Dorta Gledhill and Nellie Bauers, spent the week-end at Fishlake. Mr. and Mrs. John S. Winder of Salt Lake, were here Monday to attend at-tend the funeral services of J. T. Jones. They returned north Monday evening. Mrs. Dean Brown and Miss Bobbie and Billy Brown, are spending the week here at the home of H. A. Kearns, father to Mrs. Brown. The Browns are from California and are visiting for a fortnight at the W. H. Brown home in Salina. Mrs. Caroline Peterson is here from her home at Richfield. She will visit - indefinitely at the home of her son, A. M. Peterson. Mrs. Edna Hansen, daughter, Mar-jorie, Mar-jorie, and son, Burke, returned to Salt Lake Monday after spending the week at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Nielson. A. D. Christensen of Mt. Pleasant, was a business visitor at Gunnison Monday of this week. Mr. and Mrs. D. E. Borg made the round trip from Gunnison to Logan Sunday. On their return they were accomanied by their daughter, Miss Mildred Borg, who had spent nearly a year at Logan. |
