Show Clifton Edwards Passes Suddenly Clifton Edwards, 32 years of age, and popular among the young business men of Gunnison, died unexpectedly at his home Tuesday morning at 7:15. While his condition was not the best, death coming suddenly was not wholly unexpected and cast a gloom of sorrow sor-row at the home, where immediate members of the family were at the bedside when the end came. Mr. Edwards sustained a bad bruise on his right leg some two weeks ago when he was hit by a heavy crowbar. When taken to his home the limb was fearfully swollen, but soon responded to treatment. Internal conditions which later developed caused an infection that later spread through his body, and this is given as the cause of his death. In 192G he suffered a bad case of poisoning, following an operation on his tonsils. He was confined to a hospital for five months, and after the long treatment he had fully regained his health. Clifton Edwards was born at Cen-terfield Cen-terfield February 27 ,1900, the son of the late John W. Edwards, and Mary Edwards. He grew to manhood in this valley, and excepting a few years srent at the mining camps he made this city his home. March 14, 1926, he was married to Florence M. Jensen at Centerfield. Besides Be-sides the widow, one son, Gerald, 8, and one daughter, Darlene, 6, are left to mourn the loss of a kind and devoted de-voted father.
