Show LOCAL ITEMS OF INTEREST. Mrs. Niel Sorenson was among the passengers going to Salt Lake the first of the week. She was visiting visit-ing with relatives and friends. Mr. and Mrs. Orrin Palmer returned return-ed last Saturday from Fillmore. They spent several days there combining business with pleasure. F. W, McMillan, located at Dividend, Divi-dend, came down from the mining-camp mining-camp Saturday to visit his new daughter. He returned 'to his work Monday morning. Austin Kearns has returned to his home in this city after an absence of nearly ten months. Austin has been located at Stark, Mont. He expects ex-pects to remain here indefinitely. O. B. Berglund, J. W. Jones and J. T. Jones were travelers to Salt Lake last Sunday. They spent the week at the capitol city on important business matters. Grant Larson and Lester Larson, who have been at Dividend for the past several months working in the mines, have returned to their homes in Gunnison. They expect to remain here indefinitely. Mr. and Mrs. Jess Roper are here from Storrs, where Mr. Roper has been employed at the mines. They will remain in Gunnison several weeks visiting. H. S. Kerr, assistant chief engineer engin-eer of the state road commission, was a Gunnison visitor last Friday and Saturday. Mr. Kerr was just returning return-ing from an inspection trip to Sevier county. Harold Halverson, with the Continental Con-tinental bank at Salt Lake, came in from the capitol city the first of the week. He spent several days here combining business with pleasure. Mr. and Mrs. LeRoy Edwards and June Edwards, left for Salt Lake Tuesday morning. Mrs. Edwards, who has been in ill health for some months past, will consult with specialists spe-cialists and it may be necessary to perform an operation. Mrs. M. J. Gill, who has been the guest at the home of Mr. and Mrs. R. S. Yardley at Christenburg for the past three weeks, returned to her ' home at Salt Lake, having been called call-ed there on account of illness of relatives. Lee Pace underwent a slight operation oper-ation at a Salt Lake hospital Monday of this week. A foreign growth was removed from the nose and the tonsils ton-sils were taken out. A second operation oper-ation will be necessary to overcome the malady, acocrding to advices received re-ceived by Mrs. Pace of this city. Mr. and Mrs. J. L. Jensen of West-view West-view are receiving the congratulations congratula-tions of their hosts of friends over the arrival of a fine baby girl at their home. The young lady was born Tuesday evening and tipped the scales at 8 younds. All are doing nicely at the Jensen home.
