Show Officials Promise Change in Service The schedule for the passenger tarin on the 1. & K. G. W. railroad for the Marysvale branch will shortly short-ly be changed and instead of having a late evening train as the present schedule provides, the time of arrival in Gunnison will be between 2:15 and 2:o(). This decision was reached at a eonfernce with the railroad ollicirsh at Richfield last Friday evening wlic r representatives from the Commercial clubs at Gunison, Manfi, Mt. Pleasant Pleas-ant and Ephraim in Sanpete county and Salina and Richfield in Sevier county and towns in Piute and Garfield Gar-field counties were present. F. A. Wadleigh, traffic passenger and freight agent, with headquarters at Denver, J. D. Stack, general superintendent superin-tendent of the Utah division, J. T. Slattery, division superintendent of Salt Lake division, B. W. Robins, assistant freight and passenger' agent, J. H. Ilornung, division freight agent ,all of the Denver & Rio Grande railroad system, and Dana T. Smith, general attorney for the Union Pacific Pa-cific system, were among those present pres-ent at the meeting in the interests of the railroad. The conference was held at the Johnson hotel and was preceded with an elaborate banquet some 11:5 guests were present. Henry Beal, who acted as chairman of the melting melt-ing stated the objects in meeting' with railroad officials, outlining that an earlier passenger service was desired, de-sired, better accomodations in coaches, coach-es, the changing from the light steel to heavier and the extension of f.e branch line to the southern boi'-:r of the state, thus affording tourist travelers to see the scenic parts of Utah without having to travel so far. It was announced at the meeting that the train on the Marysvale branch would leave Salt Lake at about 8:30, thus making the hour of departure more than two and a half hours earlier.
