Show Gunnison Sports Name Officers Dr. J. A. Hagan was re-elected president, Ray B. Swallow of May-field May-field was named as vice-president and Carl Erikson was the choice for secretary-treasurer of the Gunnison Valley Fish and Game Protective association at the annual election of officers held at the Gunnison Valley bank building last evening. J. W. Jones and S. J. Baxter were named as the auditing committee and directors direct-ors for the ensuing year will be Ira Overfelt, J. W. Jones, S. J. Baxter, Julius Duggins and the officers. C. M. Edwards and H. W. Cherry were named as members of the law and legislative committee. Other standing stand-ing committees will be named at the next regular meeting. Mr. Eiikson submitted his annua! report which showed the organization in a healthy condition financially. While no great amount of funds are at present in the treasury all obligations obliga-tions have been met. The report also al-so showed that many fish had been planted, a number of Chinese pheasants pheas-ants placed in appropriate places; that beaver had been planted in the Twelve Mile canyon. Plans will be made to increase the supply of fish j .'or all the streams tributary to Gun- nison and the immediate vicinity dur- i'ing the coming summer. i To instill more interest in the as- ; sociation it is proposed to stage a membership drive and shortly every blue-blooded American sport will be ! asked to join. The membership fee! '. will remain as heretofore, $1 for the year. |
