Show A FASHIONABLE HOUSE-WARMIHC. Given by Mr. and Hn- H. L. Steed nt Their I alalia I Home. Another of Brigham City's very pleasant social events took place last Monday evening. It was the formal opening of the elegant new home of Mr. and Mrs. II. L. Steed. The evening passed off most enjoy-ably. enjoy-ably. The jolly, good cheer of the host and hostess entirely dissipated dissipa-ted all signs of stiffness and restraint, re-straint, too often m-t with at similar receptions. The games, nicely interspersed with recitations, recita-tions, vocal and instrumental music, were pleasant and appropriate. appro-priate. The tables, spread with the delicacies and substautials of life, presented a most inviting appearance appear-ance on entering the spacious dining din-ing room, A feast is not too extravagant ex-travagant a term to apply to the bountiful spread which was partaken par-taken of by the fifty invited guests. This fine structure adds one more to the rapidly increasing number of beautiful residences in our fair City of Homes. It is built of brick ; large and imposing. The interior is richly finished and tastefully taste-fully furnished. This little palace rost the enterprising -owner upwards up-wards of $8,000. It is indeed an ornament to the City.
