Show Grownups Attend School for Day j "Parents day" at the Centerfield school last Friday proved one of the most novel in the history of the school and as a result of tho visitation visita-tion of the parents there is a better " feeling and a better understanding ; between the faculty, students end I parents. With a view to stimulating more interest in school work by tho ; parents and for the purpose of cre- ating co-operaiton, (Superintendent I Birney Farnsworth extended the in l vitation to the parents to act as pu-I pu-I pils during Friday's session of school. Sixty parent students attended the l school during the day, and the regular reg-ular students stayed at home, attended at-tended chores and did the daily routine rou-tine at the several homes. The sixty grown-up pupils asHcni-bled asHcni-bled at the meeting house at ! o'clock in the morning, where an interesting in-teresting program was given. The program was as follows: Song Assemblage Invocation Melvin Dennison Vocal duet Geueal Bardsley and Helen Beck Address Supt. E. T. Heid Recitation Alda Larsen Address : Sarah Tooth Piano solo Esther Lund Following the program the "parent "par-ent students" marched to the class rooms, visiting the first graders first. Each room was visited and various topics touching upon school work and co-operation were widely discussed dis-cussed by most of those forming the visiting class. Before close of the visitors a strong resolution was passed pledging pledg-ing a deeper interest in the school work of C'euterlield ; to lend moral and financial support for school ground equipment and to make the Parents day an annual event. |
