Show Axtell Youth Is Severely Injured Alton Anderson, son of M:s. Chris. Jorgensen, is confined to the Salina hospital suffering from a gunshot wound. His right arm was almost completely torn from the shoulder by the shot and at last reports little hope was held for his recovery. Young Anderson was hunting on the river near Redmond. He was in a boat, and while rowing the gun in some manner was discharged, the full blast taking effect in the right shoulder, shattering the arm in such a manner that complete amputation at tho shoulder was necessary. As soon as the accident was discovered friends rushed the young man to the Salina hospital, where the operation was performed. The loss of blood and the shattered condition of the shoulder makes the wound most serious se-rious and the young man is reported in a critical condition. Alton, who is but 14 years old, has been employed at the ranch of C. L. Thorpe at Axtell for some months past. He is a native of Ephraim. and Leslie Anderson, who managed the boarding house at the Gunnison Valley Sugar company last season, is a brother. |
