At 11 o'clock a delicious de-licious luncheon was served. last Friday evening. Thirty-two guests were bidden and at 7 o'clock a delicious plate dinner was served. The table and home decorations were pink and white and the scheme was cleverly carried out. A crystal basket filled with pink rosebuds and white snapdragons and tied with pink tulle, together with tall pink candles, created cre-ated a pleasing effect on each table. The place cards were bride's slippers, pink roses surrounding each. At each plate was a pink favor containing contain-ing caps and mottoes. The bride's table was covered with white Madera Ma-dera cloth over pink satin. A clever addition to the table of honor was the arrangement of a miniature bride and groom. Long pink streamers were beautifully draped, joining the bride and groom. Mrs. Jones, the hostesB, and those who assisted in serving, Mrs. Mel Sorenson, Mrs. Julius Duggins and Mrs. H. W. Cherry, were all attired in pink and 'white, completin ; the color scheme most effectively. Following the delicious de-licious lunch Progressive Five Hundred Hun-dred was played and favors were won by Mrs. George Halverson and Mrs. J. A. Hagan. Before the guests departed de-parted Miss Bown opened the gifts, which consisted of beautiful bric-a-brac, silverware and other useful and valuable tokens. o The Social Circle club members were the guests of Mrs. Lloyd Anderson Ander-son this week. The usual work at needlecraft and a reading by Mrs. James Bown were the features of the gathering. Mrs. Anderson served a delicious lunch at 5 o'clock. The next regular meeting will be held at the home of Mrs. James Bown. Mrs. H. W. Cherry was hostess to the Bonne Foi club yesterday afternoon after-noon from 2 to 6 o'clock. The usual program of Needlecraft occupied the time of the members of the club. Mrs. J. A. Hagan gave an interesting reading. read-ing. At 5:30 refreshments were served. Miss Vivian Bown delightfully entertained en-tertained for her sister, Miss Glayde Bown, Tuesday afternoon, the occasion occa-sion being the latter's anniversary, and in addition a "towel shower" - was extended. Fifteen guests were present and Miss Glayde Bown was the recipient of many beautifully hand-embroidered towels. Refresh- |
