Republican politicians of this state and county are selling up a greal howl about the heavy taxes which are levied upon citizens, urging you to take your tax notice with you to the. pools, impm.lng that the Democratic Demo-cratic Slate and County Administrations Administra-tions are wholly to blame for Hie high taxes. In order that you may get at the truth in this matter and to show haw unfounded and how unfair un-fair this charge is,we submit below a table showing how the taxes upon up-on property valued at $1 000.00 are apportioned to the different taxing units for the year 1920. J by every one nf you by referring to tho levies as stamped on the. back of your tax notices, you will see, that In Gunnison City, the total tax upon every $1000.00 worth of properly is $30.10 of whicli the slate and state schools get $5.00, the County gf t-s for general purposes $1.80, for county coun-ty poor $.50, for county roads. $.70, for Interest on road bonds $.40 and for state road lax $.70 making a total to-tal for nil state and county purposes of $9.10; while Gunnison City will receive $11. on, and the Smith Sanpete San-pete School District which has a nun-partisan nun-partisan administration will get $10.-00. $10.-00.
