Show Young Woman Is Suddenly Called Olive Gunderson, the 16-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Martin Gunderson, and until a few months ago a resident of Gunnison, died very suddenly at the home of her parents at Christenburg last Sunday night shortly before 12 o'clock. Miss Gunderson, Gun-derson, though of poor health, was not considered in danger until late Sunday evening when she began to sink, and though medical aid was hurriedly summoned, she was beyond be-yond aid and she passed peacefully away. Olive Gunderson was born in Park valley and later moved to Salt Lake City. Some six years ago her parents par-ents moved to the Gunnison valley and later to Gunnison city. The young woman was a student of the, Washington school and was well and favorably known by her many friends as a young woman of much promise. Early in life she became a member of the L. D. S. church and has constantly con-stantly been affiliated with that organization or-ganization Some few years ago Olive was stricken with leakage of the heart, and since her health has been poorly, but never regarded as serious. Developments, lately, however, resulted re-sulted in more complicated conditions and it is believed that this was the cause of death. Impressive funeral services were held yesterday at the Relief Society hall for Miss Gunderson. Many of the former schoolmates and friends of the girl and stricken parents gathered gath-ered to pay the last respects to the young girl whose life was snapped in its youth. Services were conducted conduct-ed by Bishop E. L. Swalberg. Following Fol-lowing the church services the remains re-mains were taken io the city cemetery ceme-tery and placed in the family burial plot. - |
