Show ASSESSED HEAVY FINE J Ren Rasmussen, who fell into the clutches of the county officers some two weeks ago for conducting a "moonshine" business at Axtell, .was taken before Justice of the Peace Reuben Christensen last Saturday and given a fine of $240. Rasmus-sen Rasmus-sen paid the fine. The officer's had been given a "tip" that all was not right in the Rasmussen quarters and plans were made for the raid. A crude still and a quantity of liquor were seized and realizing the "gig" was up Rasmussen pleaded guilty, thus saving the county an expense of prosecuting the case. However, he pleaded for time ill which to raise sufficient money to pay his fine, and he was given until last Saturday to come across, which he did. This isj the biggest fine paid by any "moon- shiner" in the south end of the coun- j ty and the officials stated that all vio-J lators would get the same dose. j |
