Show WILL VOTE ON SHIP SUBSIDY Members of Iowa Farm Bureau Federation Fed-eration Given Chance to Express Their Opinions. ' Through the medium of a state-wide referendum members of the Iowa Farm Bureau Federation will be given an opportunity to express their opinions on the ship subsidy which Is now under consideration by congress. Farm bureau meetings will be called In every township in the state, about seventeen hundred In number. The various provisions and requirements of the bill will be explained, after which a vote will be taken and the result sent to federation headquarters In Des Moines. Much propaganda has been circulated circu-lated in Iowa setting forth the benefits It Is believed might accrue to the nation na-tion from a ship subsidy, but little or nothing In regard to the actual provisions pro-visions of the bill Itself. The farmers want to know just what the bill proposes pro-poses to do and what It will cost the government to carry It on. The federation's fed-eration's 'policy Is to make everything clear to the individual member in order that he may think It out and settle It for himself. |
