Show WOULD STOP TRAFFIC LEAKS Michigan State Farm Bureau Retains Attorney to Protect Interests of Its Members. The Michigan state farm bureau will tak'e an Increasingly active Interest Inter-est In the solution of Michigan's agricultural agri-cultural transportation problems, according ac-cording to action taken recently by the state board of directors In retaining retain-ing Mr. E. L. Ewlng of Grand Rapids, one of the leading traffic attorneys In the state, to represent the bureau at all state and federal railroad commission commis-sion hearings In which the farm bureau bu-reau Is Interested. Mr. Ewing recently conducted the Michigan Traffic league's case before the Michigan public utilities commission commis-sion and representatives Of the Interstate Inter-state commerce commission. The state farm bureau Intervened In this case and through Mr. Ewlng presented the most powerful and complete agricultural agri-cultural testimony that has ever been presented in behalf of agriculture at a Michigan hearing. Forty able farmer witnesses and their representatives testified. Twenty-seven out of fifty sets of traffic statistics presented by the manufacturers, city shippers and farmers were agricultural statistics. |
