Show SHIP CREAM CO-OPERATIVELY Farmers in Various Parts of Ohio Establish Stations to Handle Dairy Product. The number of co-operative cream-shipping cream-shipping stations In Ohio Is increasing, increas-ing, according to reports from the Ohio Farm Bureau federation. Within With-in the last few months farmers in various sections of the state have established es-tablished stations at more than 60 places. Most of these were initiated by the Ohio Farm Bureau federation. The procedure has been for the farmers to hire a local station operator opera-tor who tests and grades the cream and ships it to a creamery in a nearby section. The local or district organization organi-zation representing a group of local units, through a sales committee, bargains bar-gains with the creameries for the whole membership. Thus the creameries cream-eries are being assured of a given volume and the farmers have a stable market. More than 50 stations are locat In the Toledo trade territory and several sev-eral are operating In the region of Cincinnati. |
