Show THE CONRIED CONCERT. The date of the concert to be given by the Con. rled Metropolitan Opera company of New York in the Salt Lake tabernacle is next Tuesday evening. even-ing. Owing to the length of the programme ana to the fact that tho company must depart in its special for San Francisco not later than midnight, the first number will be sung promptly at 8 o'clock. Those who are not in the seats on time will be obliged to remain standing until the close of the number. This rule will also be followed with other numbers. Nobody will be seated during the singing. It is, therefore, most desirable that the patrons of this event get to the tabernacle on time. There is no necessity now for going over again the superlative character of the Conrled concert As has before been stated in these columns it Is the greatest musical opportunity that has been offered to Utah in this generation. Six of the world's greatest singers are to appear on the programme. pro-gramme. In addition the orchestra of sixty artists art-ists will give selections and the great Conrled chorus. will be heard. The singers will be Nordica, Homer, Dippel, Journet, Alten and De MacchI, and every one of them has attained fame both in this country and in Europe. Their names are as familiar to lovers of music as the names of our great captains of industry are to business men. It is not at all probable that another opportunity to hear this magnificent organization will be given to the people peo-ple of the intermountaln country. While cho advance ad-vance sale of seats has been Jarge, the expenso of the undertaking is so enormous that lis like will hardly bo scon again. There is no man, woman or child in the state who can afford to miss the concert. The Rossini "Stabat Mater," considered the greatest work of the greatest Italian composers, will be sung in its entirety for the first tinie outside of New York City.
