Show PANGUITCH tJGUS By Earl Roe 676-2376 wearlroeyahoo.com Hot, breaking news! The teeth rattling bumps on Center Street immediately West of its intersection with Main Street have been removed and replaced with a nice, smooth layer of asphalt. (I like to think that my numerous complaints had something some-thing to do with this.) This past week has been a big week for Panguitch. We now have curb and gutter all the way to 5th South (last street) with curb to curb asphalt. We also had an "almost rainstorm" like the ones Smith Alvey called an "Escalante Cloudburst" (10 drops to the acre). I have been told that we did get a fairly good "second hand" storm at the lake. If we can't have them over town, the next best place is around the lake as we eventually get the water. More Memorial Day visitors were Ronald and Rosielea Perkins from West Valley City who came to visit and help their mother Mary'Perkins, and their sister Dawna (Perkins) Barney and her husband Larry care for and decorate the graves of family fami-ly members. After taking care of their Memorial Day duties, Larry and Dawna along with their son's family, Clint and Melissa & children, chil-dren, traveled to Vernal where they were joined by the family of another son, Kris and Kristi and children, and took a tour of the Dinosaur Monument. From there, they made their way to Yellowstone where they were joined by the family of another son and his wife, Curtis and Cindy and made a tour of Yellowstone National Park. They even found time for the Barney brothers to take on the young Barneys for a tough basketball bas-ketball game. (The Barneys are a basketball family!) Larry and Dawna had a great time watching watch-ing nine of their 12 grandchildren grandchil-dren get better acquainted. "Drowsy?
