Show tJEl'JS By Betty Wiley 624-3215 Jessica Savage, Wendy Montague and Tyson Westwood went to Logan with Mrs. Chris Jessen to the University of Utah 4-H Camp up Logan Canyon. Christina Lamas is in the hospital hos-pital in Cedar City with a ruptured rup-tured appendix. Her mother is staying with her and hopes to have her home by the end of the week. We have actually had a little rain and Wayne County seemed to be getting a good rain as we came off the mountain and some lightning along the mountains. The workers will be here tomorrow to put some siding on Verlene Gleave's house and she is really excited. Grant and Nyla Proctor returned to Las Vegas again for Nyla to see her doctor. The two youth speakers at LDS Sacrament meeting on Sunday were Andrew Black and Kolby Gleave. Several temple workers were also called on to speak: Mona Black, Karma Jolley, Bernice Jolley and Eugene King. This morning a regular wagon and team filled with bales of hay and young people on an old fashioned hayride came down the road. Richard Bunker has two of his grandsons here visiting for part of the summer. Beverly Hansen has been attending woodcraft shows in Orem. Tim Weeks has been here in town helping get shoes on some of the local horses before they go on the cattle drive. Mary Jolley and all eight of her daughters and two daughters-in-law are going on their annual trip, a shorter distance this year with two nights in Escalante and one in Torrey a remarkable trip for Mary who is 99 years old! |
