Show - ! Mary Wells Mary Wintch Wells Turns 80 BELLEVUE, Wash. -Mary Wintch Wells of Bellevue will celebrate her 80th birthday on July 11. Mary was born to Charles H. and Hope Ott Wintch of Tropic. She attended schools in Henrievilel and Tropic. Mary was stricken with polio when she was 8 years old. She didn't let that stop her from pursuing life to its fullest, even though her fami-.. fami-.. ly expected the effects of the disease to shorten her life. Mary graduated from Dixie College and Brigham Young University, and fulfilled ful-filled a full-time LDS mission in Texas. She married Milton Wells in 1949 and they had five children: Janice, Jon, Joel, Mark and Charles. When Milton was taken suddenly sud-denly from his family in an automobile accident in 1966, Mary courageously carried on the duties of mother, father and breadwinner for her young family. She has 20 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Mary continues an active life with her family and friends, and has served as a temple worker in the Seattle LDS Temple for many years. Her children and grandchildren grand-children are planning an 80th birthday celebration in her honor at the Bellevue 1st LDS Ward building on July 10 from 4 to 8 p.m. |
