Show Prairie Dogs Plague's Best Friend? The article Mr. Scott Holyoak wrote about prairie dogs in your paper even found an audience here in Orem. A friend gave it to me. I remembered hearing about a teenager teen-ager catching the plague over in Torrey, Loa, Bicknell area some 15 years ago from rodents either prairie dogs or chipmunks or the fleas they carry. In Colorado, an epidemic of the plague destroyed prairie dog populations popula-tions estimated in the millions some years ago. Holyoak' s information infor-mation rings true with my memories. memo-ries. But, just as importantly, I enjoyed en-joyed the humor with which he expresses ex-presses himself. It was refreshing.
