Show Cannonvilfrtlrra By Marva Fletcher 679-8521 Desmond and Gretha Twitchell went to Provo on Monday to attend a missionary reunion of former workers and dear friends who served in the Toronto LDS Temple when they were there. They met many friends from Canada, Idaho, Michigan, Mich-igan, Ohio, California and a number from various parts of Utah. They report that it was a very special experience to see so many loved friends and reminisce on past experiences while there. Don and Louise Mangum met their son, David and his wife, Andrea and children of St. George at Pine Lake for a visit and Dutch oven cookout. They were camping there on Monday night. LaVera Moss is home from Valley View Medical Center where she spent several days. She is recovering but is still under the doctor's care. Howard and Dorothy Leavitt went to Cedar City on business Monday. We had several nice rain showers. It looked like the storm extended all the way to the cattle ranges in the lower country. Maybe that will ease things for the cattlemen who have had a bad year trying to please everyone. Golden and Roxanna Johnson went to Cedar City so he could renew his state inspection permit for his auto garage. Cornell and Katheryn Willis and children, Anna and Kim of Orem spent the weekend here with his mother, Bonnie Willis. Kami and Koye Willis came from Antimony and visited their grandmother also. Kami is attending the University of Utah and came home for the holiday. Gelane Paxman and son, Kelly, came from St. George and visited Arma Stock. Gelane is her sister-in-law. Kelly installs heating and air conditioning systems and will be working on the new community center. The building is progressing and looking great. Karmen Smith and daughter, Tiffany, spent a day here visiting their aunt Marva Fletcher and other relatives and friends. They were enjoying a camping trip at Bryce Canyon. On Oct. 6, Bryce Fletcher and his family members went to the St. George LDS Temple for his endowments in preparation for his mission to California - San Jose. Those attending the session with him were his father, Larry Fletcher, grandparents Clement and Marie Broderick, Anita Fletcher and Anita Racker, Leon, Richard, Matthew and Cathy Fletcher, David and Denese Broderick and Carol Seegmiller. Visiting their parents, Larry and Glenna Fletcher for the conference weekend were David and Denese Broderick and children, Joshua, Jessica, Caleb and Crystal of Spring City. Also, daughter Diane Fletcher of Provo; Leon Fletcher of Mesa, Ariz, and Delon Fletcher of Henrieville. Alma Fletcher and Larry Fletcher Flet-cher went to Odessa, Tex. to get a larger drill rig for the Fletcher Drilling Company to drill the well for Cannonville Town's water. They are busy assembling it so they can start the job in November as planned. Rita Hammer and daughter, Cathy Fletcher went to Salt Lake City during the week. They walked across the new plaza in a pouring rain storm. They also went to Thanksgiving Point to see the gardens and visited the LDS Family History Center. Jon and Melanie Kau and four children of Provo stayed overnight at the home of Mel and Phyllis Beardon on their return trip from a vacation in San Diego. Jon's father was one of the engineers who worked on the new LDS Church Conference Center. . . Mae Twitchell and daughter, Arjean Twitchell and granddaughter, Cherlyn Twitchell went to Salt Lake City for LDS conference. They had seats in the new conference con-ference center ' and said it was beautiful. They couldn't get in for the morning session and the dedication of the building, but Lori Munford and her children were able to be there and said it was wonderful. won-derful. We are all happy for Brandson and Holly Baugh. They have a new baby daughter born in the Dixie Regional Medical Center. The proud grandparents are Marty and Ethel Rich and Ron and Deene Baiigh of Salt Lake City. Great grandparents are Desmond and Gretha Twitchell and Gloria Clark of Cannonville. - |
