Show I Area Obituaries 1 Dr. Charles "Champ" Moore Dr. Charles "Champ" Moore, of 74, of Henrieville and formerly for-merly of Ogden passed away Nov. 1 2, 2004, in Salt Lake City. He was born Oct. 14, 1930, in Richfield, to Ruby Elizabeth Smith and Luther Charles Moore. He spent his early years in Junction later moving to Henrieville. He graduated from Tropic High School as Valedictorian. He received his teaching degree from Utah State University. His first year of teaching was in Bisbee, Ariz., he returned to teach at Bryce Valley High School. Champ served in the Korean Conflict, after he returned to Utah State to complete his masters mas-ters degree he taught classes at the same time. He moved to Weber State University to teach and finish his doctorate degree. He was a professor there for many years. Summers were spent working for the forest service at Bryce Canyon. Champ volunteered at the Utah State Prison teaching inmates college courses. Champ loved life, loved to learn, hunt and fish. He also loved dogs, but most of all he loved his mother. He influenced many peoples lives and was loved and respect ed by many students, family members and friends. He is survived by his brother; uncle, Deward J. Smith; aunts, Iris Bushnell; Doris Lilies and Alta Rae Hansen and numerous cousins. Preceded in death by parents, sister, grandparents, uncles and aunts. Funeral services will be held Monday, Nov. 29, 2004, at 1 p.m. in the Henrieville LDS Ward Chapel Friends may call at the ward chapel in Henrieville on Monday from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Burial will be in the Henrieville Cemetery with military mili-tary rites by the Bryce Valley American Legion Post 18.
