Daughter Kara Owen and her husband Zach are the proud new parents of beautiful Chanlee LeAnn Owens who weighed in at 6 lbs. and 13 ozs. and was 19 inches long. She is the first child for the Owens'. Mr. and Mrs. Doug Owens of Panguitch are the other happy grandparents. grandpar-ents. Lynden and Giovanna Sudweeks of Tropic are the great-grandparents. The family of Clive Bybee met in Enoch at the home of son, Shawn and wife Karen, to celebrate cele-brate the 85th birthday for Clive. Wife, Thelma reports that all of the family was able to come and help him celebrate this happy day. They decided to have the party in Enoch because it was more central for everyone who had to travel back home soon after. KayLynn Harward, their daughter from Riverton, Utah, came back to Tropic with Clive and Thelma and brought her kids along to spend the weekend week-end with the Bybee's. Rick and Renon Bybee and their children went to Salt Lake to attend EMT training. Moyle and Tracy Johnson also will be attending the training sessions. There are more from the area but at the time these are the only names that were verified. We are fortunate in our valley to have such dedicated and well (See TROPIC on page 3A) Tropic From Page 2A trained EMTs to help us out in times of need. We express our gratitude to them for their time and efforts on our behalf. Another birthday that was ' celebrated was for Kent Wintch who turned eighty two this year. His daughter, Charlene Higuera, his granddaughter Krysti Olson and Hristi's three children, Ashley, LJ and Samuel Ty, all of Orem, Utah, came to spend the birthday with Kent and his wife Betty Wintch. The husband of Krysti, James Olson, is serving in Iraq at this time. We certainly certain-ly wish him a safe time. Congratulations to Kent on his birthday. Friends and family met at Ruby!s Inn to help Sydney Syrett celebrate her coming marriage to Matt Lamas, with a bridal shower. There were games and some very happy visiting along with good food to eat. Congratulations to the happy couple. We send out get well wishes to some people in our area who are still under the weather a bit. Margaret Mecham, Betty Wintch, Chrishel Leech, and Luana Riddle. We wish for you a speedy recovery and hope to hear that you are soon doing very well. Walon Brinkerhoff is home from Afghanistan for a visit with his family and friends and a little lit-tle R and R. Walon is the son of Danny and Wendy Brinkerhoff and the grandson of Ora Brinkerhoff and John and Claudia Neimann all of Tropic. He has been stationed in Afghanistan and will be returning return-ing their shortly. Best of luck Walon and please stay safe. Here's wishing you a very Happy Thanksgiving holiday. We have so much to be grateful for here in the United States and hopefully we will express it all year and even moreso on this special holiday for that purpose. Our Freedom is so precious. |
