Show AtmMOtW fJGUS By Betty Wiley 624-3215 Our little town is fairly quiet except for a steady stream of hunters either going out to hunt or coming back in tired, having hav-ing seen very few elk or deer. Or maybe being one of the hunters who filled his or her tag! Several from here attended LDS General Conference in Salt Lake City. Most watched the meetings on TV and when President Hinckley announced that the troops had started their bombing all reacted either in fear and dread or glad they had finally started to retaliate on the terrorists. Members of the Antimony Town Board held their monthly meeting on Thursday evening with several very interested people peo-ple attending. Much discussion was done after some wanted an ordinance passed to make people peo-ple clean up their lots. Talks centered around moving old cars, farm junk machinery, tires, etc., which will take-some time. It was decided to take time to work out a plan and meet with all concerned. Also discussed was the need . to remove some dead trees from ; the cemetery and it was suggest- ' ed that possibly the Boy Scouts ; could do this as a project. The ; need for volunteers to train for -the fire department was. -expressed and plans and dates -for three meetings will be ' announced. More time was given to planning plan-ning and the discussion if a zon- ' ing committee was needed. ; I'm sure nearly all our families fami-lies have had visitors or will have but I do not have names. Raymond and Roma W. Henrie, Paula Henrie and three children and Tiana H. Phillips and son all spent the weekend with the Van Wileys. Fred and Chantell Bronsema, Ladd Brindley and two boys'; Dustin and Ginger Brindley and two ; children were here visiting with ; Marcia Tobiasson. Here looking for elk were Vaughn and Bruce Judd of -Kanab. Van Wiley rode out in '. the pickup with them. |
