A large number of out-of-town as well as locals attended. We were saddened at the news on Tuesday that Bob Willis had passed away at Garfield Memorial Hospital. His childhood was spent here doing all the fun things kids do. After living in Hawthorne, Nev., he and Helen moved back where he served this community and' his church in many ways, including as bishop. He will be greatly missed. We extend our love and sympathy to Helen and all his family. All of their children chil-dren were here for the funeral, so I'll have more information in i i next week". Visiting with Doris Liles and Iris Bushnell was their sister, Alta Rae Hansen and Terri Hincks of Salt Lake City. They also visited folks in Tropic and all the local cemeteries. La Rona Callahan attended granddaughter Dorothy Johnson's graduation. Paula Smith is home after several days in Las Vegas, Nev. for doctors appointments. Hope she is soon feeling better. John and Annie are back to work in the bakery at Fosters. Kytlin Chynoweth, son of Klin and Nancy Chynoweth, graduated, so he has great support sup-port from grandparents Ralph and Lael Chynoweth and aunts, uncles and cousins. Klay Chynoweth's LDS missionary mis-sionary farewell was one of the largest meetings we have had so I'll not attempt to name everyone every-one in attendance. He thanks everyone for their love and support. sup-port. He will enter the Missionary Training Center in Provo on June 5 for his mission in Ontario Canada. Best of luck to you, Klay. Ron and Diane Baugh were here from Magna for Klay's farewell. We were very happy with the cemetery and how nice it looked for Memorial Day visitors. Special thanks to all who worked so hard to make it so. Zoe and Ernie Maes and Harold and Dora Monson of St. George were here to decorate their family graves. Also Dar and Helen Smith of St. George and Verl and Rose Palmer of Page, Ariz, visited local family members. Rosemary Palmer of Bountiful, her son, Glen and family of San Diego, Calif., her girls Pauline, Arvon and Lindsay and Janae and their families were all in the area. Sure had some good visits. Russ and Lyllian LeFevre had all their kids and families home. Steve and Vicki Coons of Kearns and Lynn and Mala of Las Vegas, Nev. Chad and Jamie Reeder were here to bless their new son, Luke Chad. A sister, Alexa welcomes him. Proud grandparents are Ken and Artoise Piatt. Kenyon and Emily Piatt and son, Taylor of Athens, Geor. are home for several days. Mary Carol Jore Izatt and wife and two daughters visited at Eugene and LaKay Quilters. Eugene and LaKay were in Cedar City for doctors appointments. appoint-ments. They also went to Panguitch to watch Curtis Mortenson's ball game. Gayle Moore had her cousin Rick and Kerry Palmer and four boys of Pine Canyon were here to vacation prior to their son, Brad's LDS mission to Peru. Pine Canyon is near Tooele. The fourth graders did a service serv-ice learning project and cleaned the Georgetown Cemetery. The scouts had a very successful suc-cessful breakfast and car wash on Memorial Day. Attending the St. George LDS Temple last week were LaRona Callahan, Ramona Copfer, Louise Patterson, Lael and Lisa Chynoweth, Beverly Thompson, Heather Johnson, Nancy Chynoweth, Teora Willis, Krista and Tarynn Piatt for baptisms. bap-tisms.
