Show Panguitch Lake Holds 1st Annual Chub-A-Rama PANGUITCH LAKE -Businesses at Panguitch Lake united in the Panguitch Lake Merchants Association and Southern Utah Outdoors will sponsor the First Annual Chub-a-Rama at Panguitch Lake from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday, June 8. The purpose of this activity is to see which scout troop can catch the most pounds of chubs in a given time on this day. Adults are encouraged to participate partic-ipate as well. Each adult participant will make a $20 donation, the money to be shared by all the troops involved. One half will be split equally by each troop to cover show up costs. The second half will be split first, second and third, etc., determined by the amount of chubs turned in. It is the goal of the sponsors to have this event be a learning experience for each scout by helping them learn to fish, learn about fish management' and have a good time. Besides the cash prizes for the scouts, there will be great prizes for all other participants, including a fishing trip to Alaska and a trip to Argentina. The event is open to all participants par-ticipants regardless of age or any affiliation with the Boy Scouts of America. Participants may register regis-ter at Panguitch Lake Resort Friday, June 7 and Saturday, June 8 until 8:30 a.m. All scouts will register their troop number and fish for the troop total. All non-scouting participants will be assigned a scout troop and use their number when weighing in chubs. All methods of fishing must comply with Division of Wildlife Resources fishing proclamation. Chubs are the only fish to be kept for weighing. weigh-ing. All trout will be the responsibility respon-sibility of the individual angler. All legal limits apply. Prizes will be drawn for each group of participants and winners win-ners must be present to win.
