From Tashonda's side came the families of Bill and Linda Overall; Raymond Young, brother of the bride; the families of Becky Castleman and Steve and Lana Roberts, Redmond; Gary Norman from the Brigham City area; Sherrill and Pat Haws and two daughters, West Jordan; Mr. And Mrs. Henry Minchey and Mr. And Mrs. Lee Minchey, St. George; Stan and Lahoma Dalton, Circleville; Marion and LaRae Allen, LaVerkin.. Relatives of Jared included: his sister Heather and Dallas Larsen and family, Wendover; sister Carol and Russell Sorensen and family, St. George; his grandmother, Rae Smith of Henrieville; Aunts, Dorothy Burkhardt, Surprise, Ariz., and Barbara Paris, Cedar City; the family of Sherrell and Karen Ott, Tropic; the family, of Reid and Annalee Knudsen, Mayfield; Leone Gates (Salt Lake area). And of course all the relatives who live here, including Tashonda's grandmother, Yukon Norman, and Jared's grandparents, grandpar-ents, Pratt and Areola Gates. Betty Alvey had a visit from her nephew, Ferrell Roundy, Taft, Calif. He and his high school buddy, El Ray Nixon, spent some time roaming the hills before Ferrell returned home. Jerry Roundy has had hip surgery and is back home. We wish him a speedy recovery. Sherian Dutton is in Salt Lake with her mother, Virginia Sanford who, at this writing, is in the hospital there recovering from surgery. It was feared she had a heart attack before being sent on to Salt Lake. We wish her well also. We send Gerald Barney a get well wish. He is home from the hospital following surgery. Thais Griffin went to St. George for a doctor appointment and another three day stay with her daughter, Stephanie Volker. Stephanie brought her home and stayed here for three days. Stan and Marlene Stowe, Brian and Cristy Stowe and son, went on vacation to Disneyland. They met Jeff and Marilee Miller and boys, of Mesa, Ariz, there and enjoyed seeing the sights for two or three days. Marlene stopped in St. George on their way home to wish her sister, Ann Haws, a happy birthday birth-day on their mutual day. Now Marlene will tell you that she is the younger of the two, but I know Ann would argue the point! Arthur Lyman came to town to do some work for his son, Chad, on the building site for Chad's new house. His daughter, daugh-ter, Liberty Torgerson and baby, came with him from Wayne. County to visit her grandparents, grandpar-ents, Norm and Ardis Christensen, for a couple of days. I won't say how old, but I think it's one of those numbers you can't transpose to make your age sound better! ', Areola Gates and Margo Smith picked Carol Sorensen up in St. George and went to Grand Canyon to visit Pratt Gates for the weekend. Pratt took the girls on the trail ride down into the bottom of Grand .Canyon, but they left Areola on top to . wait for them. Pratt said the canyon was too full of smoke, from the fires in that area, and he was afraid Areola's asthma would be affected too much by it. So girls? Been there, done that. Would you do it again? Norman and Ardis Christensen went to Fredonia. Ariz, to visit Joe and Jolene Phillips. Jo Ellynd Bulloch, Cedar City, joined them there. Norm helped the girls mix cement and build a chimney while Ardis got to play with the great grandkids. |
