Show Bantam Wrestlers Make Some Impressive Wins PANGUITCH - Bantam wrestling enthusiast and proud mother, Roxie Roundy of Panguitch says "Bantam Wrestling Coach Barry Smith has run an excellent bantam program pro-gram this year." The program boasted a turnout of between 40-50 40-50 players throughout Panguitch. Diving into the family experience experi-ence wholeheartedly were Gene and Roxie Roundy and three sons Kyle, 8 in second grade; Chris, 12 in sixth grade and Eddie, 14 in eighth grade. Bantam play began the last week in February and ran through the month of March, with a tournament in Panguitch sponsored Mar. 9. Kyle Roundy showed tremendous promise with 21 wins and only four losses during the season. Kyle is a "die hard" wrestler according to his parents and is just a natural at the sport. He hopes to compete at the high school level. Kyle took five 1 st place wins in Moab, Beaver, Kanab, Panguitch and Piute; and three 3rd place wins in Mt. Pleasant, Parowan and Salina. Brother Eddie is also doing very well, coming a long way since last year. He took one 1st place in Piute, and 3rd place wins in Panguitch, Kanab and Beaver. Brother Chris decided he had better things to do this year and opted to compete in only two tournaments. All three boys look to their dad for instruction, as well as Coach Smith who they express thanks to for promoting the program. |
