She will be named Taylor McKell and weighed 6 pounds 14-12 ounces and was 18-12 inches long. Proud great-grandparents are Edith and Amon Barker and Melda Davis and Evan and Chris Vickers of Cedar City. A surprise birthday party was held on Thursday for Iris Bushnell. Attending from here were Jeff and Kim Johnson and Cailee; Clayton and Heather Johnson and children Tell and Oakley; Pete and Keela Mangum and Crystal Mortensen and family. Doyle and Joan Jackson were in Logan and Roy visiting family fami-ly members there and also to bring more of their things. The work is progressing on their home. Dirk Brett Chynoweth, son of Shawn and Lisa Chynoweth was baptized a member of the LDS church by his uncle Brett Chynoweth and confirmed by his father. Many of their family members were in attendance. Hyrum David Rose, son of Daniel and Sarah Rose, was also baptized a member of the LDS church by his father Daniel Rose. Sarah's father, Hyrum Christensen of Moab was here for the special occasion. Daniel and Sarah Rose spent a day of fun in St. George last week. Bob and Helen Willis, along with Carla Ramsay were in Salt Lake City for appointments at the VA Hospital. Recently called to serve as Primary Presidency in the LDS ward were Lisa Chynoweth, president; Heather Johnson and Krisette Roberts as counselors and Heidi Matthews as secretary. secre-tary. Ernie and Wynona Henderson and Cal and Martha Schow attended the St. George LDS Temple on Friday. The Schows met their children there to help celebrate Cal's birthday. Ernie and Wynona stopped in Cedar City to see son, Mitch. Several people attended funeral services for Ella Adair in Tropic. We all were saddened by the death. She was a stalwart in this community. The Bryce Lions paid honor to her as they had a moment of silence to remember her. Our sympathy to her family. We will all miss her. Darrell Adair of Pocatello, Ida., was in town as were his two daughters for the funeral of his aunt. i i |
