Show PMGUI7GU tJElVS i By Mamie Talbot 676-8084 The red-winged blackbirds are back. They are beautiful over the greening fields. The little lit-tle foals are beginning to show up in the fields. They are a lovely love-ly sight. The missionary farewell for Elder Cache Miller was held in the Panguitch LDS Fourth Ward. His parents, Jim and June Ann Miller, sister Amber and brother Lance and Elder Miller all spoke. June Ann's family, the Nelsons, played a violin duet. Greg Mack, son of Robert and Becky Mack, received his Duty to God Award. Clifford and Betty McFarland are back from Phoenix. Clifford seems to be recovering well from surgery. We were shocked at the robbery rob-bery of the post office over the weekend, but haven't heard the results of the investigation. The crime area was all taped off just like on TV. Kevin Stoller, grandson of Bob and Ina Hatch Hanks, has been accepted at Harvard University where he will work on his doctorate in the History of Science. Kevin's parents are Dennis and Debbie Hanks Stoller of Tigard, OR. Kevin has been attending school in Oregon. Visiting at the Hanks home were their cousins, Al and Lynda Veater and Max and Rae Mallair of California. About 200 members of the Hatch-Veater-Dodds families were here for the funeral of Howard Hatch. We wish we could have talked with more of the home-town home-town folks. Dick and Jan Excell are home from their winter in Mexico. Rory Hatch, son of Arthur and Sheri Miller and the late Russell Hatch, has received his mission call to Singapore. He I will leave in July. Jed and Manuela Hirshi have moved from the Frank Proctor home to the Verl Chidester apartments. Jamie Ritz and Haily Westwood from Circleville are now living in the Proctor house. They work at the drug store. Elder David Henrie was welcomed wel-comed home from his LDS mission mis-sion to the Dominican Republic. He is a son of Allen and Jeannie Henrie. Most family members from out of town left immediately immedi-ately after his report so we didn't did-n't get to talk to anyone. Welcome home, David. Also |
