Show By Wynona Henderson 679-8560 Sorry I missed writing last week, we were out-of-town. Russell and Lyllian LeFevre attended the Lions Convention in Escalante, along with John and Annie Barnett. Ernie and Wynona Henderson went but stayed over with Cal and Martha Schow. The convention was well attended by Lions from all over the state. The Escalante Potato Valley Lions are to be commended for the fine job they did in food service, excellent programs and their hospitality. The guest speaker from the International Directors was Scott Storms and wife, Dale from Connecticut. They also had a representative from the Leader Dogs from Michigan. Vilate Partner Martin of St. George was here to attend the homecoming meeting for Berdell and Carma Barton and spent a few days here at the family fam-ily home. Max Eagar spent a few days with his folks Harold and Diane Collings of Springville. He helped with some remodeling jobs. LaRona Callahan and Ramona Copfer were in Salt Lake City for eye doctors appointments. Ernie and Wynona Henderson were in Cedar City to the doctors one day, then to Panguitch the following day to the doctor for Wynona's shoulder shoul-der problems. She is now doing physical therapy. On Sunday they went to Salt Lake City for doctors appointments at the VA for Ernie. They stayed with Brian and Trish Dixon and family fam-ily in Riverton. Lloyd Mathews is also a boarder there temporarily. temporar-ily. Mitch Henderson of St. George brought his friend Julie Richardson on the weekend for a visit. She has attended Dixie College and they knew each other in elementary school in West Valley City. Ken and Artoise Piatt visited their daughter Jamie and Chad Reeder and family up north. Cliff and Colette Mathews and Delpha Rose attended the LDS mission farewell for Rex Rose of Enoch prior to leaving for a North Dakota mission. He is a nephew to Collette and grandson to Delpha. The same folks attended the funeral for Delpha's brother Clem Johnson in Provo. Annie Barnett had surgery on her foot in Cedar City. She is sporting a new high-top shoe. Bob and Louise Patterson were in Salt Lake City where Bob had surgery. He spent five days in the University Medical Center and the tests turned out benign. They thank everyone for their prayers and letters. The Henrieville LDS Relief Society had a successful project at their night meeting preparing humanitarian kits. Homemade pie with ice cream was served. Matt and Virginia Wetzel and Duztin and Sarah Sorenson were in St. George for the wedding of Matt Wetzel to Jaymie Gifford of LaVerkin. We wish them happiness. Robert and Gwen Mclnelly were in Mesa, Ariz., visiting their daughter. Dave and Jerry Millett of Cedar City visited her mom, Rhoda Shafer and other family members. Kristy Clarke and Dixie Thompson had several of their friends from Payson visiting on the weekend. Ernie and Zoe Maes and friends, Lynn and Sheral Bloxham of St. George visited Ernie and Wynona Henderson. They all had dinner at Bryce Canyon Lodge on Saturday, then on Sunday they all attended church here. Turns out Terry and Susie Clarke reported Mr. Bloxham was their LDS bishop in Murray some 20 years ago. Delpha Rose enjoyed a visit from her son, Verland and Robin Rose of St. George. |
