Show ' ' Ti SpayNeuter Unit In Panguitch On Tuesday All Day PANGUITCH A mobile spayneuter unit will spend a day in Panguitch in order to provide discount operations of the pets of the area. Animal lovers are encouraged to take advantage of this service by calling for an appointment. The mobile unit will be in Panguitch on Tuesday, Oct. 13. Veterinarians will be providing spayneuter services near the Information Center at the Garfield County Fairgrounds. Cat and dog owners are welcome to bring their furry friends between 8:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. The cost for a dog spayneuter is $25, a cat spay is $20 and a cat neuter is free. In addition, shots will also be available at a discount price. General shots will be available for $10 and rabies shots will be $5. Animal lovers may call 1-800-9 19-KIND to schedule an appointment for these discount services. Sponsored by Best Friends Animal Sanctuary, the mobile program is part of Utah's Week For The Animal, a statewide celebration of animals Oct. 11 -17. The discount spayneuter program is designed to bring these services to the animal ' lover and encourage them to do their part with the problem of pet over population. "Every animal owner should have their dogs andor cats spayed or neutered. It's good for the pet's health and cuts down on stray and uncared for animals in our neighborhoods," said Gregory Castle of Best Friends Animal Sanctuary in Kanab. Best Friends runs the largest animal sanctuary for domestic animals in the country, promotes spaying and neutering, publishes a magazine for animal lovers, and organizes humane education programs pro-grams throughout Utah. |
