This tunnel tun-nel is dug straight down and may extend downward as much as 12 feet or more. At the bottom he hollows out several rooms, for sleeping, storing of food, and other purposes. On Friday, the Antimony Elementary Ele-mentary School traveled to the Ho-gle Ho-gle Zoo to see all the animals. Everyone was so excited. Michelle Black took her younger son, Austin, with her and stayed at her parents in Salt Lake City and joined the Antimony School at the zoo. The Grant Proctors are here at their summer home and Grant says the medicine seems to be helping. He travels up to the Veteran's Hospital Hos-pital for his appointments. Marcus Gleave was taken by Piute Ambulance to the Garfield Memorial Hospital suffering from a slight stroke but was able to return home the next day. Several of the cattlemen in the valley have been working cattle the last few days. Roma and Raymond Henrie came up here to see her parents, the Van Wileys, after Jeep Posse meet- ing in Junction and on the way back down the canyon, they are the ones who hit the two deer above Purple Haze. After all the years of driving, of course any of us still hit deer around here as they are all over the highways. Luckily, the pickup wasn't damaged.! The Memorial Service for Lynn Pierson was well attended and the flags that the Antimony Town put up at the cemetery really made it look special for this important event. Graduation ceremonies for LDS Seminary was well attended and 30 students graduated. Many relatives and friends were here for the event. At midnight, the bus loaded with seniors left for their senior sluff. I am sure they will have a great time. Thursday, Wade and Jennifer Wiley had a new baby boy born at the Garfield Memorial Hospital. Due to complications, he was sent on life-flight to Provo Regional Medical Centers ICU. He is home now but had to bring his oxygen with him for a few days. Brad Allen of Salina has been doing some maintenance for the Town of Antimony on the weekend. week-end. Gail Riddle of Bakersfield, Calif., has pulled his camp trailer here for the summer. He spends a lot of the summer here where he was born and raised. Ray and Ruth Wiley Pace were here visiting from Leeds. She will be having neck surgery in Salt Lake City May 27. The Mike Porters have been (See ANTIMONY on page 7-A) Antimony From page 5-A anxiously awaiting their modular home and it has arrived. It is really exciting for them. Kevin and Melanie Heaton of Logan are here visiting with his sister, Holly Westwood while he is checking on a job opening. Brian and Sharmi Crowder will be moving back and will be living in the former Sam Duncan house. Tiffany King and Jennie King are working at Ruby's Inn and Tiffany Tif-fany is now an Emeregency Medical Technician. Jerry and Janene spent the weekend week-end in Las Vegas, Nev. The Rockin' R has a new cook and several seasonal workers. Sandi Daly was on Las Vegas for several days last week. |
