Red block buildings are going up on the new baseball complex in the southeast corner of town. Work is being done on the Lynn Chamberlain house on south Main Street. Loyhova and 'Cornelia DUP Camps met together for their last meeting of the year. The interesting interest-ing lesson about the pioneers of Wayne County was given by Barbara Bar-bara Talbot, and Mamie Hatch gave a history of her great-grandmother Rebecca Willard Turner Workman. Kay, Neilene and Annette Hey-wood, Hey-wood, and Joe and Leniece Fischer and two daughters went north to attend the wedding of the Heywoods granddaughter Anita Geselmeyer in the Jordan River LDS Temple. Bruce Heywood came from Fallon, Nev., for the occasion. His wife Rita had been in the hospital so she was unable to come. Lorraine and Sam Allen went to Cedar City to help bless their 14th grandchild, daughter of Eddie and Melanie Allen DelToro. Melanie is the daughter of the late Roger Allen. Al-len. Art and Beverly Crosby went to Phoenix, Ariz., to bring home their trailer house for the summer. Son Bill helped Art move his belongings belong-ings from the farm to the home lot. Royceand Pearl Walker just returned re-turned from a two-week visit with their son and family in San Diego, Calif. It was a grandsons 8th birthday birth-day and baptism. Pearl said everything every-thing was so green and pretty with lots of flowers out. Jim and Neucile, Pam and John and Ali Yardley went to Southern Utah University where Trudy Y. Nichols graduated on May 8. On May 11. All of John and Pam's family, as well as Jim and Neucile and several aunts and uncles were at the Salt Lake City airport to see Elder Danny Yardley off on his mission to Yakaternberg, Russia. Marie Listen went to Logan to her nephew's wedding. She stayed with her daughter Natalie in Newton. New-ton. Mitchell and Brady Owens went with grandma Marie. Gloria and Grant Houston were invited to have Mother's Day dinner at their son Kelly Houston's home in Washington. Kelly was the cook and prepared the lovely dinner for his wife and family, parents and sister Fran and her husband David Black and family. Alden and Mary Black vacationed vaca-tioned with Pete and Alta Pierson, then went to St. George on Friday. Mary woke up very ill the next day and was in emergency surgery on Sunday and spent mothers day in the Dixie Medical Center. Marilyn Veater went to St. George on May 1. She met with her family home evening group and they made quilts to send to Armenia for the orphanages. They also collected col-lected school supplies and story books for the children. Marilyn also made another trip to St. George to spend Mothers Day with Clem, Geralyn McEwen and fam-ily. fam-ily.
