Show Garkane Power To Give Refunds RICHFIELD Garkane Power Association has announced a $400,000 Capital Credit Refund to be distributed to the members of the cooperative. The refund, approved at a recent re-cent meeting of Garkane's Board of Directors, is based on the strong financial performance of the 7,000-member cooperative in ; 1996. Checks will be sent to all customers in December. Garkane Power is a not-for-! profit cooperative. In contrast with investor-owned utilities whose profits are distributed to; stockholders, excess revenues collected by Garkane are returned to the members of the cooperative - those who purchase the power. This refund marks the fourth consecutive year of Capital Credit rebates to Garkane's customers. cus-tomers. The total amount distributed distrib-uted over the period exceeds S1.6 million.
