Show Panguitch News By Mamie Talbot 676-8084 We didn't see any little new lambs flying away in clouds of dust from torn-up streets and plowed fields last week, but the terrific all day wind could well have blown them to Panguitch Lake. The birds couldn't even fly! The memberships of William and Shelly Benson and children William, Janelle and Kayla were welcomed into the LDS Third Ward. Mitchell Moore received his Gospel in Action Award in LDS Sacrament meeting. Mamie and Barbara Talbot went to Cedar City on business and stopped at son Alan's home to visit. The next week, they went to Salt Lake for a medical appointment and to visit wilh the Richard Talbots in Orem, the Lyle Talbots of Sandy and Dennis and Karen Talbot Williams of So. Jordan. The Williams' have one new grandson born to Dana and Jenifer Finlayson Williams. Monte and Cleo Marshall and fifty members of their immediate family came from out-of-town for the wedding and reception of Shaine and Anne Marshall Anderson. Many of the Syrett family from Bryce Canyon and others from the surrounding area were here, also. Cleo said she and Monte will be back home in about six weeks, to stay for the summer. Earl and Evelyn Roe, Beverly Crosby and Winona Sevy went to Koosharem to the 60lh wedding anniversary party for their mothers youngest sister Mable and Rulon Torgcrson. Our loves goes to Lucile and Sheldon Proctor. Lucile's mother, Augusta Hunt died and was buried in Enterprise, March 25. Ernest (Sonny) Gregurek is working on remodeling the old Gem Theater building. It will be a steak house and dance hall with windows cut in the long south wall. That will surely improve Main Street. In Panguitch 1st LDS Ward, Mike and Chris Dalton and Glen and Kaylyn Partridge were called to work in the Activities Committee. Stake visitors speaking were Nancy Houston and Afton Morgan. Jalena Black and Megan Redding were the youth speakers. Megan, Mandy Houston and Laura Pearson sang "Faith In Every Footstep." Jake LeFevre was made a teacher. On March 23, the 1st ward held their Easter Program with John Gillett as narrator and Terry Henrie giving a very fine talk. It was reported as a most enjoyable program. |
